Exploring Machu Picchu
We have Daily departures for this tour. The weather is dry all year. However, between December and April, there are a few rain spots, but it is not a big deal. Machu Picchu is on the other side of the Andes Mountains and in a lower place, the temperature can be around 25°C during the day and 13°C During the night. That is why on this tour you do not need heavy winter clothes. Click to check the Peruvian wheater.
There are many destinations into Machu Picchu like the Machu Picchu Mountain, Huayna Picchu Mountain, the Inka Bridge, and the Sun Gate, the first 2 have to be booked on time and the last 2 are for free. Click to know more about The Destination inside of Machu Picchu.
Maybe you know that Machu Picchu was not the principal city of the Inka empire. However, was a sacred temple to receive the new year. If you are interested to know the timeline of the Inka history, we recommend you to visit Cusco (the capital of the Inka Empire), Click to see The Destinations in Cusco. if you visit those destinations first, you will be an Inka History expert when you reach Machu Picchu.
This is not a hard Trekking tour so everybody can do it even if they are old or so young. if you want to walk less you can add the touristic bus to climb from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu, and the train back to Cusco to have also more time in Machu Picchu.

FAQ - Frequently asked Questions
1. How long is the 2-day Machu Picchu tour by bus?
The tour lasts 2 days and 1 night. On the first day, you'll travel from Cusco to Hidroelectrica by bus and hike to Aguas Calientes. On the second day, you'll visit Machu Picchu before returning to Cusco.
2. How much hiking is involved?
You'll hike approximately 6 to 7.5 miles (10–12 km) from Hidroelectrica to Aguas Calientes. The walk takes about 2.5 to 3 hours along a mostly flat trail that follows the railway.
3. Is this tour suitable for everyone?
Yes, this tour is suitable for most travelers with a moderate level of fitness. Children, adults, and active seniors who are comfortable walking several miles can enjoy this experience.
4. How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 4 to 8 weeks in advance, especially during the high season (May through September), to secure your preferred Machu Picchu entrance tickets and hotel accommodations.
5. What time do we visit Machu Picchu?
Your entrance time depends on the ticket assigned during booking. Most travelers leave Aguas Calientes early in the morning, usually between 4:30 AM and 6:00 AM, to arrive at Machu Picchu for their scheduled entry.

The tour operates year-round, including during the rainy season. We recommend bringing waterproof clothing and protecting your electronics. Machu Picchu remains open in most weather conditions unless there are exceptional safety concerns.
